Kauffman, S. (1986). "Adaptive Automata Based on Darwinian Selection"

Strange paper. It makes me realize that a lot has happened in GAs and RBNs since 86. The language in this paper is really dated. I didn't really figure out what his fitness function was, but it bears some similarity to waht I was thinking of doing. He is looking in some way, at how attractors change with fitness, whatever fitness is.
