A quote in the beginning of this book, from a paper by Hardin with the edited title, says "it is now clear to me that the title for my original contribution should have been The Tragedy of the Unmanaged Commons.

I'm not sure if I read it in Laura nader's class. It is a nice piece, surprisingly broad and philosophical, but still responsibly written and reasoned. And he is disinterested enough that you can't really tell what he thinks on the first pass; very reasonable. I'm came out feeling that Everyone should read it, even if he got a few things more and less wrong.
