I love seeing visions of the future and of the past. I also love things that make super-human spans of time apprehensible. So, naturally I’m sold on this concluding vision of 2001 from a January 1901 special issue of Collier’s Weekly that focused on life since 1801.
I got this from the collections of Dartmouth College’s Rauner Library, which lets everybody in to ask for anything, and which hosted a personal showing of proto-sci-fi and early astronomy books.
